Pregnant or menopause?

I'm a healthy 45 year old with 2 grown children. My periods have been like clockwork all my life. I've had frequent, unprotected sex. My period has suddenly stopped about 12 weeks ago. I have no symptoms other than I felt my left ovary "twisting" for a couple of days(don't know how else to word it). I have not taken a test as I don't see how it could be possible at my age to be pregnant. Thoughts anyone?

It would be great to just skip the kids and move right to the grandkids.  Glad you don't have any awkward 'splainin' to do.

FYI test was negative. I'm relieved as I would have had a lot of explaining to do to my grown kids. Now I can treat myself to pedicures with the money I save from not buying pads and tampons. I predict grandchildren in my future.

Take a test.  It could be pregnancy or perimenopause.  Sorry, but there is no way to tell online, you have to test.
