Prenatal vitamin - Primacare One

I have started taking the Primacare One prenatal vitamin. It contains fish oil. Recently I came across some information about fish oil which might contain mercury. Is it safe to go ahead with this vitamin?

I LOVE these prenatals...they don't make me sick at all...even on an empty stomach. This is one of the main reasons it gets RAVE reviews from me. ;o) I'd fill a book if I listed them all. ;o)

Prima Care vitamins are the number 1 prescribed vitamins in the country so that has to make you feel good about them.  They have the most EPA and DHA than any other prenatal.  I looked them up when I was given them and they meet the NIH recommendations.  I visited their website and they seem to take care of everything from a one pill to a two pill to a chewable to even one without omega 3s if you don't want to take those.

I love them!

Hi!  Primacare One Prenatals have been around for a long time.  I took them 2yrs ago during my pregnancy.  They are safe and good for you!!

This is from the Primacare One Website:
The natural fish oil source of EFAs in PrimaCare and PrimaCare ONE prenatal vitamins is a safe pharmaceutical-grade source. The fish oil is refined via a patented multi-step purification process. The FDA’s established acceptable level of mercury is 1.0 ppm. The fish oil source in PrimaCare and PrimaCare ONE prenatal vitamins has a maximum specification for mercury (0.025 ppm) that is 40 times lower than the FDA’s
established acceptable level of mercury. (1) Additionally, fish-oil based fatty acids act as a natural stool softener to decrease the risk of constipation
