Pulmonary Embolism

Has anyone had a successful delivery with a PE on Lovenox? So stressed right now...I'm 21 weeks and due July 21.

I really appreciate you all comments. It helps a lot especially since i have no one else. The father of my child is oblivious and stresses me out on every level.  When I was given the news he was sitting down in the er with me and didn't once get up to console me. He says his faith didn't allow him to react and he doesn't accept bad news. Faith is good but I was in tears and he just sat there. Needless to say I had to let him go because he was too insensitive to my situation. .. thanks again ladies because i am so lost right now.

I'm also on lovenox,  but as a preventative measure as well. I really really dislike giving myself shots,  there's still a part of me that wonders if it can hurt my baby- but hubby helps me realize it's way better to be on the med rather than be without it. I also had a PE, but not while pregnant. Now any pain I get in my chest or shortness of breath I have I nearly panic. I can't imagine what you must be going thru momma, I really hope everything gets better for you. I'm a couple of weeks behind you, I guess we'll find out then how it goes.

Any clot can be fatal I thought, but those are almost always the unknown ones that break free and travel. Yours is known and being monitored (as much as sadely possibly) and treated.  I don't think the nurse should of said that, especially of that's all she said and left you hanging. That kind of anxiety does a pregnancy no good.  Think positive thoughts and hang in there.

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! PE alone is enough. Being pregnant alone is enough! You must be one tough mama! I hope the remainder of your weeks go smoothly and that the extra worry turns out to be just that.

Dr will prob put you on heparin as u get closer to due date cause they are able to take you sooner on that then lovanox.  They can't touch you fpe 12 hrs if you took lovanox heparin in think it's 4. All the best

Mine is $90. It does sting at times. In fact I had one episode where it stung for 5 days nonstop.  I was told to go to hospital, but I didn't because at that point I was so tired of being in the hospital.  I have a 16yr old who I had missed taking him to his appts because i was in hospital.  When I found out about the PE it was on Jan 6 I had chest pains for 3 days I went in to ER and after a CTscan they found it. I was hospitalized for a week.  Then in Feb 6 another week because of opposite side chest pains in which I'm still having. They can only monitor me because I'm pregnant and don't want to do another ct because of the fact I'm pregnant. Its stressful because the more I read up on it I find out more as some are resistant to med. Still having pain with no option to help it because I'm pregnant is super stressful!

Just curious what yours cost you? Mine are $3/shot@ $90/box. 99% of time I have no problems but that 1%..ugh. Needle won't want to go in or the solution stings like hell.  How about you? Sorry to hear you have a lung clot. That must be scary.  Mine is as preventative at this point but I'm high risk.

Maybe its just me, but this is new to me. The dr told me I'd be fine, but they told me that before and I had a miscarriage (God forbid this one ending that way). Was just wondering because one nurse told me that it could be fatal for me and the others told me not to worry. Trusting in God above all though!

I'm on lovenox as well.  I was never given any implication that I wouldn't deliver successfully.  Were you? Or are you just stressing yourself about it? I'm almost 25 weeks, now I'm wondering if it just wasn't mentioned yet because so early..  As I'm kind of a wait and see case..
