Round Ligament Pain?

Hi!

I've tried to do some research on this particular question but can't seem to find anything definitive, so I decided to post to see if anyone can relate or explain...

I have a fullness feeling in my ovary area. It's very similar to how I felt when I was on stims right before I would ovulate.  Just very full and kinda painful.

Is that what round ligament pain feels like?

I also get the stabbing, 'catching' pains from moving or bending over that go away quickly and I'm pretty sure those are the the round ligament pains, but I was wondering about this ovary area feeling!

Any thoughts?

It does sound like round ligament pain from what I have read and heard from women who've had it. Massage therapy and stretching are supposedly also helpful for it. If you don't want a therapist touching that area, you can do gentle self-massage at the insertion point of the ligament, which is right on the pubic bone. The pain is likely originating there and referring upwards into the ovary area. Anyway that's what they tell us massage therapists when we do our prenatal training. Best of luck with it. :)

I had a BAD case of round ligament pain.  it's definitely an achy feeling and some sharp pains.  I was told it subsides when you lay down and or drink water.  That wasn't the case with me.  But it lasted just a week.

normally not, only when i'm standing or sitting straight up and there is pressure down there.. it could be that your little one is positioned against a nerve or ligament or something though too.. also, i have gone through times where my ribs or muscles up at the top of my stomach hurt pretty badly.. my dr says its the muscles actually ripping apart!! wow!

Do they seem to last all day or night? I'll go a day or so without anything and then I'll have them constant for an evening into the morning or something!

sounds like it to me! i get that "achy" pain usually only on one side or the other - which i toss up to round ligament, and then i get the sharp shooting pains as well - haha, one of my friends had a name for it actually ---- lightning crotch!!! , i thought that couldnt be more accurate! and it cracks me up! i had the round ligament pain around 17 weeks or so and then am getting it again now.. it is better when i lay down  : )
