Side of pubic area swollen

Just wondering if anyone else has had a swollen area on the side of their pubic bone. I just noticed this when waking up this a.m. It's not super swollen, but definitely more swollen than normal...and a little tender too. I left a message with my Dr.'s office, but just thought I'd check with you guys while I wait for a call back (I'll probably hear back this afternoon sometime).

Thanks, Sherry! Like Pum, my doctor thinks it's the lymph nodes. He wasn't too concerned about it, so that made me feel a little better. He said if it's still swollen on Monday, to come in for a checkup. It's already looking a little less swollen today, though, so we'll see what happens...

good luck. I'm sure everything is fine. I've never experienced this one.  I've had the labia a bit swollen, but not the public bone.

Thank you so much for replying, Pum. As far as I know, I haven't had any type of infections lately...but it is in the same area where the lymph nodes would be, so who knows. I just spoke to my nurse, who will talk to my doctor once he gets out of surgery, so we'll see what he says.

Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

Heather :-)

I had this recently when I had shingles and  believe it was the lymph gland in the area swelling and hurting.  You could have an infection in a hair folicle or have you got a bruise or a scratch on your leg that could be leading to a localised reaction of your lymph node. Alternatively it could be pregnancy related but not sure what that would be.
