Hemorrhoid careful (TMI?)

If things in that dept haven't been bad enough....... I have the BIGGEST hemorrhoid :( :( :(
Any helpful advice for relief?  I had the colon rectal surgeon on the phone first thing and she ordered some cream
for me...cream?  This thing is the size of a blueberry, sorry TMI, but geeze...She doesn't want to drain it because she says it will come right back because of all the blood flowing through my body after just giving birth.  I guess I won't eat this weekend, ha ha ha... The holiday weekend should be a real bang!
Like I said, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh after my delivery it looked like I had a bunch of grapes back there.. it was the strangest thing I every saw.  Soaking in a hot bath worked wonders for me.  Also keep the medicated pads around. I even kept some in a zip lock in my purse.  Keep the area as clean as possible.

Good luck to you..

Ok hemorrhoids the size of oranges is just cruel. No one should have to put up with that.

We feel for you Kelly. Good luck.

OUCH!!!, I feel for you. First and foremost get a stool softener, if you haven't already. I hear you can get pads (Tucks), they're supposed to bring a lot of relief. And last but not least, eat a lot of fiber (cereals), salads, fresh fruits, and veggies. Stay away from all the constipating stuff such as cheese, bananas, rice, etc. By the way, the size of a blueberry isn't all that bad. I've seen hemorrhoids the size of apples and oranges! Good luck!
