This is just so odd...what the heck is going on?

Ok, so not really pregnancy related, but I am going to post this anyway.  Last month I had a 22 day cycle...very very odd for me.  I had a positive OPK at CD 14, so that means an 8 day luteal phase.  I have been a 28 day girl my whole life..at least for the most part.  I also started having (in the last few months) very strong symptoms around ovulation time.  Sore breasts, etc.  This month I am now CD 15.  I have yet to have a positive ovulation test.  I did however have an abundance of ewcm on CD 12 and 13.  We did BD just to make sure bases were covered, even though OPK still negative (can I tell you how sick I am of having a little stick tell me when to have sex???lol).  Started testing twice a day, and still no positive. Arrrghhh, so frustrated.  Any ideas?  This must be perimenopause!

Well you could skip the test strips and just BD every day :) Unless there is a sperm count issue, is couldn't hurt :)

Sometimes I wonder if all the worrying about when to do it, etc causes stress enough to mess with a woman's cycle...

As I have mentioned, my cycles have been crazy for the last 6 months or so. But whilst we still have them and are still ovulating we have hope of another pregnancy I guess. I had a couple of months were my luteal phase was a little shorter but it is back to between 12 and 16 days again now.

Now that is one debt I would be happy to deliver on.  From your ladies lips to Gods ears.  There has been an awful lot going on lately in my world.  Plus, January was my first cycle after my last D&C, so hoping the combo is all that is going on.  I got my happy face today, so hoping that if I don't conceive this month, AF at least stays away until CD 28 to 30.  Then at least I would know my luteal phase is long enough.  I keep dreaming about being out for lunch with my mom, and I have Ryder and a little girl in tow.  Hopefully it's some sort of sign and not just wishful thinking!

NO Missy, don't mention the word early menopause!  Not gonna happen. You owe us one more baby :)  I'm waiting and I want you to think positive for this month! Get Warren on task and make sure you BD the 3 days AFTER your +. For some reason, I believe this is KEY!  Keep me posted lady!

Thanks tones.  I tried another OPK this morning and finally positive!  CD 16.  I hope AF doesn't show on CD 22 again...at least maybe I have a chance.  I guess my post was more a rant..I don't mind aging a bit, but wish my body would just co operate..lol.  Just one more time is all I need.  Thanks for answering my ranting and raving.  Sometimes you just need to let that frustration out I guess.

I can't really answer your question but can say that after all of my miscarriages, my cycle has been shorter for the first 2-3 months after .. gradually getting longer each time .. I know how you feel waiting for that little opk line to light up .. it is such a drag!

It sounds like an annoying glitch in your hormones .. I take chaste tree (vitex) to get my cycles back to normal when this has happened to me.  It is not necessarily perimenopause, just maybe that your body has been through a lot in the last 4 months!  I hope you get that line any day now
