We are confused

If a women misses her period cycle for a 3 month period at age of 43.

what other symtom could it be other than pregnacny?

We are waiting to get answer from doctor.  they have to retest because an error they made.  She already would only be on period for a 3 day cylce anyway.

Does anyone have an idea,answer or experience about something like this?

I'm having very irregular periods right now - the doctor's not sure what's going on but is prescribing Prometrium to get things regulated.  I'm 46 though & it's possible it could be perimenopause which can start anytime in the 40s.

You cycle starts to become irregular.  Could be perimenopause or premenopause.

There are many reasons besides pregnancy she could miss her period.  In our 40's it is not uncommon for our cycles to change.  It can also be hormonal imbalance or a medical condition.  It is good she is getting looked at by her Dr.  I wish you well.
