Weight Gain

I just went through IVF, and I gain 17lbs. I wondering I'm I the only one to gain so much weight? I'm 10 weeks and I look like Ms.Piggy baby sister. Will this weight come off?

Interesting - I didn't know about the potential for swollen ovaries, I wonder if that happened with my IUI hormones. I did 4 rounds with injectabled spaced over about 6 months so who knows. I never input my weight on here and now reading this, I'm not going to! I'm sure I'm moderately over but certainly don't need to be reminded constantly - I'm sure my doc will handle if it's an issue!

Me too ! Its not nice seeing that your overweight every time ypu look at app! I'm only like 2kgs over but it makes you feel bad. My ovaries were really big too from ivf like 6 to 7 cms each . Everyone reacts differently to the meds, it depends what your fertility issues are too with different treatments.

I'm 36 weeks and also did IVF. This app always says that my weight is excessive.  I went from 110 to 150. Every time I open this app it reminds me that I'm over weight and it's made me very upset throughout my pregnancy.  Today I changed the weight to a false weight so I don't have to have that reminder. It's interesting to hear that other ivf women have a weight issue as well.
Also, in my 1st trimester I swelled up due to my swollen ovaries.

I gained about 10 pounds during my IVF cycle- thanks to all of those meds!  However I am currently 17 weeks and have only gained 3 pounds during my pregnancy thus far. By the way, congratulations!! I know how difficult it can be to go though infertility treatments.

I had ivf too and I put on a lot of weight at beginning but it slowed down once hormones settled. I think with all the meds and stress i blew up. I'm trying not to worry about it coz I'm just so happy that we are finally having a baby. Congratulations!

I'm at 6 weeks after my 6th IUI (was going to move to IVF next) and I while I wasn't tracking my weight, I definitely feel like the hormones made me gain at least 5 pounds. My boobs - already big - got bigger too so I might tip over from those before the baby bump throws off my balance! Don't worry about the weight now, just focus on eating right for you and the baby. Congratulations!!
