What were some of you ladies experience with induction? good? bad?

I'll be 39 wks. 1 day tomorrow & am set to be induced @ 7:30 a.m. OB is playing it safe because we can't seem to get my heart rate to stay at an "acceptable" level. Just wondering what to expect? Long labor? Etc. Thanks in advance :)

I was induced with my first and fourth due to high blood pressure.  It took 8 hours with the first and 2 with the fourth.  I am being induced again on Friday and just hoping for the best.  Everything will be fine and your baby will be here soon  :-)

Well i got induced with my last son because I had high blood pressure and mine was super fast the doctor broke my water and started pitocin and i had him 2 hours later for me the contraction were so painful and none stop they keep coming it was awful i hope i don't get induce with this pregnancy.. but i don't know i think it depends on your body. Good luck!

I was induced both times although with my 2nd I was already contacting every three min. But still went on low pitocin. I got epidural around 7 cm each time which was after the water was broken.  My first labor was around 15 hrs and my second labor about 8.5 hrs. I can't compare to natural progression but I think a lot of people make it out to be far worse getting induced... every one is different and if you trust your doc then relax and enjoy the experience of childbirth. I personally don't think it's a big deal, I would love tho go into labor on my own with this one bit since I have rather big babies and have a medical condition, I was induced so I wasn't over due. :-) good luck

Good luck. Both my previous labors were induced with pitocin and were 21 hours.
The first my water broke and nothing was progressing, the second was a hb issue with the baby as well. No pain meds with that one. Try to rest as much as you can!

At the hospital now, they used a Foley catheter to help dilate me,(didn't hurt) then started my pitocin. They let pitocin do its thing for awhile then broke my water...now we're just waiting for my cervix to come down a little more and dilate :)

Getting induced will cause your baby to dilate slowly than it happening natural . I was induce with my first baby and I spent 20 hours in labor . So not trying to scare you but you will be in labor for a while . Its because your forcing your body to have your baby . Your body knows when its ready for birth , and when its ready it will go alot faster than forcing your body to have labor started

I'm hetting induced Sunday. My OB and I are only giving my body 4-6 hours after pitocen starts to do anything, since my cervix is twisted and posterior so I'm super nervous about it amd would like to hear what others have to say as well:)
