Ditto EverythingN1. There is no consensus in the medical community about how much, if any, alcohol is a safe during pregnancy. I miss it a lot but the reality is I have raging heartburn so booze would just make it worse anyway. I haven't had any alcohol since finding out I was pregnant and won't have any. Sigh.
A friend of mine who nurses and has 4 kids actually shared this site with me today. She said it was a great resource for buring moms. http://************/bf/can-i-breastfeed/lifestyle/alcohol/
Hi im from the uk and up until very recent one glass here or there was considered no threat bit lately over the past few weeks alot of tv programmes have been explaining what just one glass can do to baby, it has also been on our news headlines and live chat shows so I think from now on in the uk alcohol is gona be completely ruled out
My OB advised me its okay...in moderation...
I agree on bringing it with you to the hospital. I totally would be happy with just a mouthful at this point! Once the baby is born if your nursing you have to think about how you would be able to drink while breast feeding.
@nikki148 :D LOL WORD TO THAT!
I would love a glass but GONNA wait til the end! I plan on having a bottle n delivery room lol!! Lord knows imma need it after labour!!! Aug ain't gettn here fast enough!
I don't drink and not going to especially being pregnant
I am seeing a midwife and two doctors through this pregnancy. I have been told that a 4 oz glass, on a full stomach, Is fine every now and then. In fact, that is what They have advised me to do when I have contractions because it relaxes muscles.
There isn't a scientific consensus yet whether a glass of wine or not is okay for pregnant women, but some doctors have adopted a philosophy that a glass of wine every now and then will not hurt a baby. Personally, I have had 3 since finding out that I was pregnant.
I thought i heard somewhere one glasses a fay wont hurt the baby.... ut check with ur doctor
