I got a yeast infection at week 4. My RE said NOT to use the terconazole, my ob gyn had prescribed. IT'S NOT SAFE. MoniStat 3 or 7 otc was best. I had two rounds of 3 because it didn't completely cure the first time. I suggest doing the 7 day and beware of the pain and burning the treatment causes, I read it's normal... I cried.
Use yogurt that's not pasteurized City on the vagina it will cool it as well as cure it we use it for our residents in Assisted Living the ones that don't when to take medication
I had a yeast infection with both pregnancies during my 1st trimester. Everything turned out fine with what the doctor prescribed me.
Try the AtoZ yeast infection pills. I'm 5 weeks and they seem pretty safe for me.
I used OTC monistat. I think I had to treat it twice since it was still lingering after the first treatment.
My doc said monistat over the counter is safe to take. I am not sure I would be comfortable with taking the pill either.
With a small exception that Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide are not suggested to be used in any trimester during pregnancy? :-) I just researched it.
It is a common complaint in the first trimester and there are better ways of controlling yeast or fungal infections. I can point out Borax and the Hydrogen Peroxide 3% (Food Grade) as good options. Research online and have a great pregnancy and a safe birth!
