a question about being pregnant with twins

I am currently 11 weeks pregnant with my second child. I want to ask if any of u are or was pregnant with twins had signs of being pregnant with twins before the ultrasound? I have been dreaming about multiples and my stomach looks like as if I am 20 weeks pregnant even though I have only gained about 5 pounds since finding out I was pregnant. But I have been feeling nauseous alot more than I was with my daughter.

I had twin dreams so when had my U/S I asked the lady and she was surprised I knew. I was terribly sick in my first trimester as well. I have not gained a lot of weight and am 35 weeks and still look small for carrying twins even though they are thriving..... its been pretty painful. Good luck

I'm a ftm with twins, but my morning sickness was not bad at all. I didn't really eat more until I got to my third trimester. Then it seemed like I could never get full. And heartburn was not bad either. Every women is different. I also gained about 55 lbs. I started at 104 lbs. I had a fairly easy pregnancy until I hit my last month :(

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with twins now. I just had a hunch that I had twins at first, before my us confirmed it. I stayed hungry and had really bad nausea though prior to the us.

Have you had an internal exam or HCG levels measured?  Either of those would tip your dr off that you may have multiples.  A 5Ib weight gain during the first trimester of pregnancy and degree of nausea are not good indicators that you might have multiples.

I was pregnant with twins in 2007 and morning sickness was b#%&@. I had heartburn Gynecologist put me on Prevacid and chewable prenatal vitamin's because I couldn't keep anything down not even water. I had a hard time gaining weight. I was 150 lbs before I found out I was pregnant I had to gain 4 lbs at least and eventually I did by my 2nd trimester. BTW Gynecologist had prescribed me some nauseated pills to help me. Always be under Gynecologist care. Now 7 years later I'm pregnant again but this time I'm seeing a high risk Gynecologist. I recommend you see an Obgyn that specializes in high risk because twins need extra care. Congrats and good luck!
