am i in early labour?? please help

Have been experiencing pains in abdomen especially around lower part which are coming and going some can be very sore and others are just small and manageable and some small few pains in lower back and only a small bit of pressure since sunday evening which is now 4 days ago iv also been feeling a little sick and sluggish and just dont feel myself its like im waiting for something to happen or just an odd feeling, I Went to the hospital today, they gave me a steroid injection and am out there again tomorrow for another one they said it was too open the babys lungs but never gave me any indication to weather its because im in early labour or going into early labour, surely to god they wont just give it to me if theres no signs of early labour approching or would they? Eager to know whats going on because im 35+4 weeks and this is my first so so confused? If anyone could help id really appreciate it :)

Call the hospital or your midwife and just explain to them the pain you are experiencing. It might be nothing but if you are majorly worried ring the hospital straight away. Good luck. X

Ohh right, well in that case you're going to have to try and bare it. If it does get too much though and you are worried, try out of hours or just ring again. I've not been in that situation, so I am sorry that I cannot be any further help. Good luck and it isn't a problem:) x

They usually give you that injection to prepare baby in case you deliver early.   It will helps mature baby's lungs.  I'm shocked that they didn't explain that to you.  I'm also curious why they would give it unless they saw signs that your body was preparing to go into labor.   Did they tell you that you were having contractions?

If you're going back tomorrow ask them if you're having contractions or if they think that your going to go into labor early?

The steroid they gave you is probably called betamethasone if you want to look it up...

They give it to for signs of premature labor I also got the same shot at 28 weeks cause my cervix started to open its better to be safe than sorry so that's the reason they gave it to u so if u do deliver early ur babt won't have to be n the nicu
