Pregnancy and high tsh

I am 21 weeks pregnant..On 21 week thyroid test my TSH value came 4.58 while the normal value is upto 4.5 but T4 is not tested.
On my 8th week TSH was 5.4 and doc did another test for T4 and it was within range. So she said i didnt need medicine.
I asked her can we have another test in 2 weeks to check the levels...she said as long as your T4 is normal you dont need anything and we will repeat the test on 28th week again.
Lower TSH is Hypothyroidism which connected with babys brain development.I am passed 5months with elevated value so i am very worried about the same.Did i make any mistake trusting my OB's word,or slightly elevated values are fine.
Also my BP is 150/80 she said its f9 unless there is no protein in urine.
I am really confused she is reputed OB,Is she doing right or i am over reacting.
Please help me out in this

My bp today was 160/80 and I did have blood n protein in my urine. Thinks it may just be a urine infection but I'm worried sick. Also baby measuring a week smaller. I measured 25. I'm 29 weeks on Saturday. Xxx

I have the opposite problem. I am hyper which means the tsh is 0.1. Before I got pregnant it was.04 so it went up two weeks afteri found out I was pregnant. Pregnancy does elevate and as long as your free t4/t3 are normal, they just monitor. Mine is directly related to the baby's heart rate. I'd talk to an endo as well as an ob.

It sounds like your tsh levels are OK they might be slightly elevated during pregnancy. Mine were 99 at one point! The endocrinologist was surprised I could even function at all. Anyway if it would ease your mind get a second opinion.
