Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I'm no stranger to that. I know that it is hard and very emotionally painful.
Now, about your question regarding the clomid dosage, I feel that your doc is probably right, and yes, she is being conservative too. If the 50mg dosage is yielding results i.e., helping you produce mature eggs, she is not going to be easily persuaded to change you over to 100mg. While it is true that clomid helps you make healthier eggs, if the 50mg dosage is already giving you eggs, the assumption is that they are as healthy as they can be. Your doc will be inclined to make it a 100mg dosage if you were not producing eggs with the 50mg one. Having said all of this, if you go through two more mc's on this dose, she will probably consider changing it to 100, based on the "failure" rate. That's just what I've heard and seen throughout the years. At that point, she may also recommend assisting the process by doing artificial insemination. It's simple, easy, cost effective and helps a fair amount of women.
I'm going to tell you what many people are probably already telling you, try to be a little patient and give your body time. My advice to you is to try to cultivate your spirit, and body by eating right, exercising and controlling stress. TTC is an extenuating process. It's good to be vigilant of the docs, but you are still at a point where time is needed.
I know that this is all better said than done. Believe me! I know this first hand. I'm 39 and have gone through it all. It's hard, but it's a must: try to stay as relaxed and calm as possible.
Good luck, and keep us posted!.
