Last week I had very bad cold, congestion and did not sleep for a while.  I checked with my Ob and he recommended Robitussin DM.  It worked great and now I am cured of course still no sleep but thats another story.  I am now planning to get some sleep 18 years from now when my daughter (unborn) goes to college.  Till then hello insomnia

This post came at the perfect time. I'm suffering from a nasty cold that doesn't want to leave me. I'm taking pseudophed because Nyquil does nothing for me. I looked it up on google and it is not reccomended during pregnancy but prolonged exposure is what makes it dangerous, which is the case with most things during pregnancy. With my last pregnancy, my Dr. told me nothing but tylenol cold products. I might as well have taken nothing. So, if you are worried, call your OB.

I did check with my Ob on what meds to take that are safe during pg if I should have a cold or sore throat etc. For Cold, he said to only take Panadol Cold. If you have a sore throat, the normal Panadol would do. For fever, cold and cough I was told to go to the A&E immediately due to the possiblity of the infamous H1N1.

When your sick your sick.

.I am taking Tylenol, yes even the nightime one. Right now I have a really bad cold and I am actually also now addicted to Afrin (which is a nono I think).

The way I look at it, It is bad enough I have not slept in over a month, but to add the flu/cold is just not right and I need to be able to function and work until I have my baby.( No one else pays my bills but me! No work=not paying mortgage)

If its only a few days when you are miserable.

I do not see the harm...but others may feel different.
