My doctor recommended Miralax powder and it really works great for me. I take it 2 days in a row when I start having trouble and it starts to work great the next day and seems to keep working a few days after as well.
Try decreasing starchy binding foods such as white breads, rice, and bananas.
Increase your whole grains as well as fiber rich fruits and veggies.
Usually OTC stool softeners are okay to use, like miralax or colace (check with your Dr first)
Glycerin suppositories also work well
Lots of water and foods high in fiber. If the constipation gets too bad, there are glycerin suppositories that can help you go. You can get them at any drug store, and they are harmless to u and baby.
Fiber pills and lots of water worked for me.
