constipation

Any of you ladies dealing with extreme constipation? If so does it also make you sick to your stomach/nauseous?  What are you using to help. I have tried colace and miralax. Nothing seems to help. I'm miserable!!!

My regimen consists of Raisen Bran (it has significantly more fiber than any other cereal including raisen bran crunch), prunes, Mirilax daily, Colace twice daily, & lots of water. The Colace works more effectively if you drink lots of water.

6-8 oz of warm prune juice. I use organic prune juice and after I warm it I add a few oz of seltzer water. I usually go within 2-3 hours. It works very well. Be sure to be home!

Kale works really well. I have a daily home made smoothy with strawberries, banana, apple, plain yogurt and kale. It makes me go about 3 times a day.

Thank you for all suggestions. Right now I'm trying to heal from abdominal surgery, and my constipation is worse. I'm going to try some of these things that I haven't tried to see if I can get things moving.

I'm 15+1 weeks and also have constipation. Definitely going to try some of these suggestions. Raisin Bran actually sounds good.

Phillips milk of magnesia...and if you're like me and hate that disgusting taste or texture of it, they have it in pill form. Sometimes raisin brand and water are not enough. Also it is stimulate free! No cramping. So...Phillips mag in pill form+ increased water intake,= happy poop without discomfort and straining. ;)

I've suffered with this my entire pregnancy. Severely.  And yes, it can make you nauseous. It also gives me a bad headache that is only relieved when I can finally go the bathroom.  I've tried tons of different remedies and found that warm pure apple juice does the trick! Stay very well hydrated and eat foods high in dietary fiber too. Prunes :)

Gummy fiber supplements with every meal (more than the recommended amount) has been a lifesaver for me.
