It totally depends on if your body is ready. I spent 7 hours pushing 2 weeks ago today. At the 4 hour mark, my contractions slowed down to 5 min apart. They then gave me the same drug, pitocin which brought them .back to 2-3 min apart. Still ended up with a c section due to baby's head being tilted but it wasn't any worse than being at a 10 with natural contractions for me. The drug they give you is a man made version of the pitocin your body naturally creates to cause labor. Ask you doc for more info and don't be afraid to ask for alternatives and risks.

I was going to be Induced too with my second. But only because doctor said she wanted to be available. When I realized it was not necessary I Canceled it. Many people who r induced say it was way longer...and all day in labor. And even the next day.  My friends made me think twice why would I force baby out?  She ended up busting out by herself two days before the induction .

Well it feels uncomfortable.. they have to insert like 2 fingers down there and stretch your cervix unless they use an iv in your arm.. but the contractions and like 10x worst.. im 34 weeks too and i wanna be induced.. but sometimes it wont work.. i guess its whenever the baby is ready :)

I think it varies with every person. I know lots of womwn who have been induced and have great labours, i was induced on friday and didnt go so well for mw i didnt progress at all and ended up with a c section. I think it has a lot tondo with how ready your body is. And with the pain i dont have anything to compaere it to as this was my first but as horrible as it was it was bearable. I laboured completely natuaraly.
