Does the # of yrs in betwn deliveries effect labor?

With my 1st son I was in labor for 15 hours.  Since my 2nd son came just a short 21 months later the labor was cut in half and I had him in 7 hours.  Now that it's been 7yrs I keep having the same thought that my body has forgotten what to do and I'll be in labor for like a million hours since basically my body will be starting all over again.  Help, I'm having labor withdrawl!

Oh God, well I guess I better pack some snacks, a deck of cards, and since our women's center has done a recent remodel and have added new technology some state of the art DVD's to play on the hospital flat screen!  Oh La La :)!  Yes I am one of the ones who will sneak and eat during labor.  As much as I watch home births and birthing centers those ladies always eat during labor, and hell I'm jealous! LOL

I hope it goes well for all of you. Since every pregnancy and every baby is different, there isn't a yes or no answer to the question, unfortunately. I had 5 1/2 years between my two and I went into labor pretty much the opposite the 2nd time from the first. Both deliveries were c-sections though because neither baby would drop all the way . . . big babies. Good luck!

From my experience my first labor was 14 hrs and my 2nd (4 yrs later) was 16 hrs!!  I'm nervous, like you, that I'll be in labor for days before this baby comes out.  Somebody told me that if you wait over 6 years that it's like your body has never been pregnant before (sigh...) so we may be in for a long one.  Good luck!
