'Anyone experience Ovulating on Period

Hi everyone. I have been TTC on and off for 8 years, I suppose. Been through fertility doctors etc. Had a tubal before and then my tubes were successfully reversed after I got married. We found out after three years of me not getting pregnant that my husband had poor morphology and motility.  Just this past six months have we found that his sperm has finally improved tremendously. I mean greatly. So we have been trying to time everything. I chart, I temp, I check cervix so much I feel like I'm molesting myself (just kidding) but you know what I mean. We can't seem to get pregnant. The IUI's are not working and everything with me is perfectly fine and him. We tried relaxing and taking a break. Well this past cycle I was reading online about women who got pregnant while having intercourse on their cycle. I thought to myself what if I am actually fertile right on my cycle or towards the end because I always have ewcm mixed with AF towards the end of it. I never considered intercourse during that time because (to me) that's gross. But this time I paid close attention to my AF cycle. I had cramps two days before it ended but they weren't AF cramps, they felt like my ovulation stabs, I had the EWCM mixed in. It was like pulling teeth but I begged my husband to bd with me even though my AF was slightly still there.  I was grossed out at first myself but we did it after I explained the "What if I am fertile on my AF" theory. There are many out there who have been. I had not been getting pregnant during the "supposed" fertile times of 11-14 days of my cycle so now we are BD'ing every day until the next AF.  My question is (finally) has anyone ever experienced ovulating in the midst of AF especially being older and hormones can be out of whack. I am a 25 to 28 day AFer.  : )  What were your experiences, body changes like ovulation cramps (strong, mild. etc)

Thanks for the responses.

Adgal: I have used those kits and they never predict it. I used them for five cycles this year and a couple of years ago, I used them for the IUI's they never showed positive. I can tell when I am by the CM and temp changes as well as the cramps. I just didn't even temp this cycle but experienced the ewcm and ov. pains on my cycle which never happen. We have been bd'ing every day with a two day break just to make sure. Its day 11 for me now and its when I normally ovulate or have ewcm and i have had no more which is weird. I usually have a lot. Last thing....whats more strange is the other day ...well saturday night we bd and i bled and the next day spotted in the day and it stopped in the afternoon. I'm just praying we will a bfp this month. we working on it : )

I thought FOR SURE I was ovulating this past week. Had the cramps and even took some OPK tests I had in-house that showed (almost) positive. BUT to my surprise I stared spotting red, and eventually think I'm getting my period. Yes, it's been since Friday the start of red spotting but I think I'm getting it here shortly. I think that most likely you don't ovulate during your period but I've read sometimes it could be ANYTIME, :)

I can't say I have experienced ovulation during AF.  I know it can happen, but in all honesty, it is pretty rare. And because its important to have at least a 10 day luteal phase, very few women will actually become pregnant during AF.  Now, I am certainly no Dr., but this was info I found on line.  Have you considered an Ovulation Predictor Kit?  They have helped me tremendously.  I found out I used to O around day 12, not 14.  IT also helped when I started clomid, as I discovered I know ovulated around day 15 or 16.  You might want to give that a try first, as it lets you know 12-48 hours before you will ovulate.  I have achieved pregnancy 4 times using them.

Good luck to you!!
