You shouldn't induce unless there is a medical reason for it. Going to 42 weeks the placenta starts to deteriorate, which is why it's medically necessary. Let it happen and enjoy the anticipation of labor. I know a lot of women who wish they had gotten to experience that.
It might be different depending on where you live, but I thought that most US doctors will not induce before 39 weeks unless there is a medical reason to do it.
Not every first tyme Momz go DAT long I'm 36 weeks n first tyme in from the looks of it will b having her soon
Also with inducing it might make you stop progressing which leads to a c-section.
Since this is your first pregnancy, I would not get induced. Inducing will make the contractions way more intense than if you go naturally. I don't know what you're planning as far as pain management (like an epidural or iv drugs) but I would wait for the labor to happen naturally since you don't know to expect yet. I know it's hard waiting but your baby is going to come soon. It's just not ready yet.
Im understanding about anticipation. Can't i still anticipate while waiting. This is crazy nothing is working and im scared to take castor oil eventhough my doc recommended it.
I had my baby at 40weeks and 5days...I made it two days before I was going to be induced.
I'm getting induce in two weeks because of my gestational diabetes I'm so scared!
i say wait for nature to run it course by letting labour come it comes i wrnt natural n all with my first n it was awesome n ill be doing the same this time.round
I got induced with my first and honestly I wish I hadn't. It's exciting to wait and anticipate when the baby will come!
