gross personal question

First of all I wanna say sorry for the TMI in this question I just don't know what to do... I'm 40 weeks and 3 days now. For the past 2 days I have had this brown slimy discharge coming out. I am constantly having to change pads and undies. Sometimes it goshes out and runs down my legs. I am having contractions but they are not close together. What is this? What should I do? I need help and advice. Please help

Your mucus plug came out its also called the "bloody show" if you're contracting you need to contact your doctor immediately, because your baby will be coming soon..

My contractions are like 20 mins apart. So they aren't close right now. I was just at the hospital yesterday and then this started happening.

Do NOT be grossed out if something is worrying you by the way. Doctors have heard it all and then some. Just ask away. That's what they are there for along with delivering your precious buddle. :)

Could be a sign your going into labor. Call your doctor and let them know. Specially when your contractions start. Time them and tell your doctor the results as well. That or you can call up to your birthing center and let them know what is going on, get advice on what to do. They most likely will tell you to come in and get checked out or keep them updated on how close the contractions get and depending on those results, they will tell you to come in or not.
