I forgot to add that I have had a couple iuds for a span of 12 years or so before trying to get pregnant.
I had mine taken out Nov 1, 2013 as well. I am 35 (36-sept 4th). I had regular normal periods until the removal of my (non-hormonal) iud. Since then I had 1-2 days of brownish discharge each month until about April and finally had red discharge but still just 1-2 days worth.
We finally got pregnant in May of this year.
I was sick (cold/flu) almost every month since having my iud out so it did shift my periods 2 weeks each time.
I had an IUD, not a copper one but nonetheless, I had an ectopic pregnancy while I still had it & then it took us over a year.to conceive. I am now 35w3d. I agree with Kerencita2777, the less you try, the easier it'll be. Good luck!
How old r u sweetie .. I am 37
I had mines taken out June 2012 & tried consistently. I am now 23 wks pregnant.
From my understanding it has to get out your system. But diff people diff results. Some can get pregnant right away and some it takes awhile. But ovulation predictor is very helpful. It only took me 2 months to get pregnant . The 1st month I was having sex a lot but it got tiresome trying to have sex daily. The. The next month I used the ovulation kit. And bow I was pregnant the next month
I had the copper I.U.D. for 8 years it took me 10 months to get pregnant. But it resulted in a miscarriage and I lasted 2 months going through it. I then got pregnant again 7 months after that miscarriage and I'm now 39 weeks. Good luck, hopefully you get to have a baby in your arms soon.
I am 36 and had the copper iud in for almost 4 years. I got pregnant after two cycles. I would say that you should talk to your Dr or use an ovulation predictor to see if your cycles are normal and you are ovulating. Also, sometimes the more you stress about it, the longer it will take. I know it's hard to do, but try to put it in the back of your mind. Lots of luck!
