hcg question

Question i am currently on prometrium 200 mg twice a day to keep me pregnant. On the 20th of this month it was 1,000+ and beta was a 21 point something and on Thursday of last week i took another and it was 3,000+ but my beta dropped down to a 16 point something. The hcg is good but what is the beta and why is it dropping and what could that mean.. Now i did miss about 2 or 3 does of the prometrium since the first test but the hcg is high and going up so why would the beta drop? could this be from missing those few doses? I'm super worried and has any other women experienced this that has been on prometrium?. I'm a nervous wreck right now

I would be calling them.  I'm so glad that the labs that we use get the results back to us the same day.  If I don't hear back from the nurse when I have to do blood test I call and she has them in the computer.

udbe yes and they stil have not came back yet so maybe today they will.. i been about to have a freaking fit! i tell ya! They better call me today or i am going to lose my mind or make them lose theirs.lol

Did they ever call you back with your results to see if your progesterone has gone up?

my RE said the suppositories don't show up on the blood work so to not worry about it..

hey ya'll and no this is my 3rd pregnancy and i am worried about the progesterone levels and my hcg is pretty good. I still have not gotten my bumbers back from yesterday's test yet. I panicked so much i had a anxiety attack lastnight. I'm so worried ya'll! i dont know what these numbers will be when they do call me

Hi.  I'm also on premetrium twice a day. My progesterone levels went from 13dpo= 28
four week = 48
fifth week = 39
sixth week= 30
My hcg at the sixth week was 19,780. So that I know is good but do you think the decline in progesterone is bad even though it's over the normal 20? I'm just scared cause my next apt is in 2 weeks and I don't want it to get LOWER! Does the progerstetonr number usually taper off?I'm worried

I am on Prometrium 3 times a day....and my levels drop and go up...about every other test.  My Doc doesn't worry though.....as long as my little monkey is progressing and I'm not bleeding.....so don't worry.....I know how you feel though....the first time it dropped for me I totally freaked!  Good Luck! :)

I understand the stress.  Each time I get pregnant I am so stressed out and the numbers game really doesn't help out much.  

Is this your first pregnancy or do you have other children?

Thanks a bunch udbe2! I am waiting patiently for the docs to call me back so i will know something. My mind is going crazy praying that the numbers are up. I have really been stressing and crying all day. I am in this pregnancy bymyself and it is very hard!

Your beta looks great it is doubling nicely.  The progesterone is still within the levels they like to see and if you did miss a few it could cause the numbers to go down.   I've been on prometrium before and as long as you are not starting to bleed things sound like they are going great for you.  Try not to stress and remember to take the prometrium.  I try to take mine as soon as I wake up and have a piece of toast to have something in my stomach and take it at dinner time.  This way I don't forget.  Plus get one of those pill boxes so you can put on in the morning and one in the evening for each day of the week.  It helps remind you if you have taken it or not.  I know I get scatter brained all of the time and sometimes can't remember anything.

Is your BHCG levels over 3K and your P4 levels (progesterone) down to 16 point something?
