iui n nicotine patch

is there a diffrence with having a patch on or smoking.  2nd tr on iui  first  ltrasound yeterday have 3 good ones d0c said  will it help me this cycle of iui cutting down

I agree completely with Helen's comments.

I do want to mention that some recent research has shown that the patch is a better option then smoking, but still, if possible avoid any nicotine.  In addition to talking to your insurance company, talk to your Dr.  He or she may be able to offer some good suggestions to help you quit.  All the best to you.

Both deliver nicotine to your blood stream.  With patch you supposed to quit eventually so it should phase it out for a smoke free pregnancy.  

Check with your employer, many will actually pay for a smoking sessation program.  You will need the $$$, trust me!!!
