lack of fetal movement

Hi everyone.  Please be nice, this is my first time posting a question.  Here goes. .. im 35 years young and pregnant with our second child.. im 15 weeks and im concerned with the lack of fetal movement. I barely feel my baby move. ..probably every 2-4 days my baby flutters. Has anyone experienced this? Is thia typical because of my age? My next OB appointment is in October. .. very concerned at this point. .

15 weeks is really early to feel stuff and everything is likely fine but if you're really worried get your midwife or doc to listen in to the heartbeat to reassure you, rather than waiting for next appointment.

I have an anterior placenta and expecting baby number one so was really worried that I could barely feel the baby until the doctor explained it.  At 25 week's daddy is getting anxious to feel the baby kicking but has yet been unable to. We are both hoping the baby will be strong enough soon to be able to feel him.

That's totally normal. I'm on my third baby and didn't start to even feel her move steadily till I was 20 weeks.  She's gotten her steamer every week (I'm 24 weeks now). Like mentioned above you could also have an anterior placenta and that decreases how frequently you feel movement too. Try not to worry mama,  you and your baby are doing fine:)

U could have an anterior placenta which means it's in the front and it's cushioning baby's kicks.  I just learned that have one at that explained y I don't feel my baby all the time and I'm 19 wks.  With my first didn't have a anterior placenta and I felt him everyday since 14 wks..
