md said i was an excessive bleder

ok this may sound wierd, but my md said that with me bleeding 7 days and having clots for the first 3 days is considred excessive bleeding. He said that me having anymore kids may put me at risk or a fetus due to miscarriages. Now i have had one, but after that i gave birth to a lil girl no problems. My mom had a disorder and she DIC'd and had major surgery and blood transfusion. He asked if i was done having kids and since i was so afraid of the same thing happening to me i said yes. Now the did a esssure procedure and a uterin ablation, so i'm done and now wondering if i should have gotten a 3rd opion? does any of this make sense or sound normal? or was my md just trying to make me infertile?

I have to agree with meli. If you start second guessing yourself you will drive yourself crazy.  Pregnancy after ablation is not a good idea and can be quite dangerous.  I understand why you might feel the way you do, but what is done is done.  Focus on loving that healthy little miracle you have and there are certainly options available to add more children to you family if you choose.  There are so many kids out there who would love to have a "forever family" to belong to.  Take care and I wish you well.

If you have had the ablation I would just try to leave it alone... if you ask yourself if you should have gotten a 3rd 4th and 5th opinion you will just drive yourself nuts.. you did what you needed to do..  You didn't make the wrong decision and now just be at peace
