You can usually leave early if you want....I stayed I needed all the help I could get plus it was nice to get a little sleep before heading home
we toured with our child birth class
We took the hospital tour, we had 6 other couples mostly 7-9 months along and a few couples brought the big sisters and big brothers. It was very cute, there were about 5 kids total however, 1 was about 3 and he wanted nothing to do with it and was more interested in hearing the echo in the hospital hallways if you catch my drift. He was running back and forth up the halls while we looked at rooms and hitting all the elevator buttons when we got on (twice). The poor nurse who was guiding the tour was doing her best to try to control the situation, but got no help from the parents and you could tell the nurse was seriously about to lose it. It was neat to see the tour though. Now that I'm having a C for sure, I don't know exactly where I'll be anymore but that's ok.
wow.. this one said that we can stay 24 to 48 hours...
A lady that's having her baby the same place I am said the hospital will dismiss a woman having a vaginal birth 8 HOURS after the baby's born. She has to sign herself out but they're okay w/that!! It sounds more like a factory than a hospital.....
when I went there were 5 couples... everyone went with their dh's
hehehe i took that tour when i was like 14 weeks! lol ;) i was so happy i had passed my 12 week already and that everything looked right, that i made dh come with me and stand there touring the hospital with a bunch of VERY pregnant women... and there was me all skinny... lol.... no wonder they looked at me funny! now i feel their pain.. i see a skinny beotch and i wanna hit her! lol
i gotta say after last night's dinner at dh's cousin's house, and his aunt calling me 'fat'... i was feeling pretty down... until i opened eonline_dot_com and saw a picture of Halle Berry......
I guess i do feel better man!!!! (is that horrible or what?!) ;)
schedule.. to get space... I am 29w and went on sat... it was great no reason to wait..
when should you schedule the tour for? I'm almost 28weeks, but I keep thinking it's too early for that. Also, the classes my doctor has suggested say to take them 4-6 weeks prior to edd - that seems like not soon enough??? I'm confused!!
I have to schedule our tour soon too. I'll be excited to see the new rooms, our hospital just did a complete remodel of the entire birth center last year.
oh....that's one I hadn't seen b4
vbac is vaginal birth after c section...
whats a vbac? I can't wait til I'm far enough along to do the hospital tour and know it's really gonna happen
haha!! yea.. it really made me want to try, I don't know I have never gone into labor on my own... both times I have been induced due to GD.... I would like to experience the whole deliver on my experience... we'lll see
yeah it would be nice to deliver vbac because if they stuck me in a room with a hot tub and I couldn't use it........ someone would be hearing one angry woman! =o) hehehe
