pumping during pregnancy.. milk coming late

Any experienced moms have their milk come in early?? What about late? I'm so afraid that my milk won't come in for a few days after birth. It messed up my breastfeeding experience with my son and I don't want it to happen with this pregnancy too :(

You have colostrum until your milk comes in, once the placenta is gone from birth is when your body knows to make the milk so it takes a few days, the colostrum is enough for baby until then, no reason to pump during pregnancy, your body will not start until the process until placenta out

My milk always takes 3 to 5 days to fully come in. Try not to worry, as long as you put baby to breast every couple hours after birth, your milk will come in. Colustrum is enough for the baby while your body starts producing milk.

You should call la lache league asap. I never had a breastfeeding problem and maybe if you had good support you wouldn't either. It takes about a week after birth for milk to really come in. Breastfeeding isn't for the faint of heart. It is around the clock on demand and often uncomfortable. You need to see if your hospital has a breastfeeding support group.

Do not pump during pegnancy it can cause pre term labor.  Milk normally comes in about 3 days after birth. Before that it is colostrum.

I breastfed with no problems. The baby gets what is needs from the colustrum until your milk comes in.

Nipple stimulation cam bring on labour. So I would wait till baby comes. It's standard for it to take time after baby from milk to fully come in.
