meds in hospital..

Soo after i give birth, or during, before whatever... do i get pain meds thru an iv? And then pills/pain killers to take home? How does ot work? Im terrified of taking pills (dont ask) and im just trying to prep myself.

You will be sent home with pain meds as well even if you have a vaginal birth. It depends on how much pain you are in weither you will need them or not, every birth is different. My daughter had an easy birth and didn't need much pain meds afterwards.

You'll get pain meds through a shot or IV when in labor. After that, you just get Tylenol or ibuprofen, unless you had a csection or other complication, they may give you percocet. You can get tylenol and ibuprofen in liquid or chewable tablets as well.
