chemical pregnancy

I'll tell you this emtional roller coaster really *****!!! I took a HPT yesterday evening came up positive quick and very dark. My cycle was due to start today and low and behold IT DID!! Bleeding is not as heavy but mine never start off heavy. I went to my RE had an hcg done and Im waiting on the results but I'm quite sure this was just another chemical pregnancy #4 within 8 months. Maybe its time to give my body a rest....

I had the same about 3 times and my doctor put me on menpur and ovedril to trigger the ovulation and finally i got pg. He also had me having progesterone takes twice a day for the first 11 weeks when your body start generating it itself. I am now 25 weeks so stay positive and let them try to identify the root. Good luck to you, I am sure it will happen soon.

How cme your RE makes you wait so long? Don't they call you back the same day with your blood work?
Sending you best wishes.....

Thanks to each and everyone of you, each reply is encouraging & I will try my best to stay positive. Still waiting to hear from RE. The wait itself is excruciating...

I'm sorry this keeps happening.  I have had a few of those myself, and they really wreck havoc with your mind.  I have done a lot of reading on them, and they really are super common.  In the past we just didn't know about them, but now that we have HPT's that we can test so early on, we are more aware.

A couple of thoughts for you.  One of the things that can cause them is a shortened luteal phase (or so some RE's believe).  Also, anything that may impact implantation, such as fibroids if they are in a certain place/position.  The other thing to keep in mind is that bleeding does not necessarily mean that it is chemical.  Lot's of women bleed during early pregnancy, and around the time your period would be due is common.  The majority of chemical pregnancies, the bleeding is later then normal and very heavy.  Just a few thoughts.

I wish you well, and stay positive...having several chemical pregnancies does not mean you will not have a successful, full term pregnancy.  Many Dr.s do not even consider them miscarriages and don't bother doing much testing.  That is actually a positive!  Take care.
