Yay!! So glad all is well and hang tight w/ the adaptng and with nursing. It's all rough in the first few weeks, whether it's your first or fifth!!! Congrats again!
thank you so much for all your messages. i'm wrting with michael in my arms. i had a bad start since he does not want to sleep in his crib but will fall asleep and sleep only in somebody's arms. that is driving me nuts. at first i thougt i wasn't feeding him enough and i triedsupplementing. then i realized he would sleep even 4 hrs straight in my arm breastfeeding only. he just doesn't like the crib.
my milk is in now but my nipples are soooo sore! i'm not enjoying breastfeeding that much.
i would choose northside hospital again, iwas very satisfied with everything there. the nurses were all really nice. two of them were really experieced and help me a lot. the lact cons were also very very helppful. the rooms were comfortable and i was provided with everything i needed (and more). you know nh is the hospital that deliver more babies in all the us. they do have a high rate for c-sec (30%) but mine was necessary. the night i had mine they performed 15!
hope everybody is doing ok!
He is beautiful! Hope you are doing ok. Congratulations and hang in there on the breastfeeding, it can be very frustrating.
congratulations! he's beautiful. :)
congratulations! he's beautiful. :)
OMG!!! Congrats! ....so happy for you and your new baby! I am 5 months now and can hardly wait for my turn!!!! Relax and take care of yourself and I hope for a speedy recovery!!!!
congrats im glad you are both safe. the nurses always want you to supplement. its your choice to decide if you want to do that or not. babies always drop some weight so dont be worried, addison was born 5 2 and dropped to 4 10. they tried to make her take a bottle but i refused (i had a c too) i pumped and took my milk to the nursery (jaundice under lights) and used a tube with breastfeeding to feed her that way. i am just giving you encouragement should you want to breastfeed but you dont have to listen to me lol. cant wait to see pictures!
Congratulations and welcome to the world, baby Michael!! Sorry for the really nasty delivery - you poor thing! I'm glad it's over and you did the right thing opting for the c-section since the cord was around his head - bless his heart (and yours too). Your milk will be in soon - try not to stress & I hope you have a safe, speedy recover - jen
