what the f?? :)

Weight
By now, most women will have gained 25 to 35 pounds over their pre-pregnancy weight. However, in the last month of pregnancy, mothers should gain very little or no weight.

so the baby is gaining 1/2 lb a week but I should gain little or nothing according to this page.. haha... just the swelling alone is making me gain...

I have always had skinny people ankles :o)  now they look very thick and ugly....

Mel....everytime I read one of your posts....I find it endearing what I get to look forward to! And now CANKLES....right now my boobs are so big they almost need a cart not a bra to carry them around.  if I ever dared to not wear a bra I would fear for small women and kids nearby.  Being prego is such a WILD adventure. LOL  Thank you for keeping me smiling during such a stressful part of my pregnancy!

Cankels?  We use the term "wankles" for wide ankles.

I was wondering that same thing about the weight gain.  Oh, and I am still gaining at least a pound a week.

I'm officially up 34 pounds at almost 37 weeks.

FANTASTIC.....you mean they will be big and saggy?  That equals LONG boobs.....OMG my side is hurting from laughing. Has Reebok invented the PUMP breast implant yet? And the chin pile up sounds just plain wild....ladies just call me Jabba in another 20 or 25 wks. OMG...Im already plus sized is there a double wide size prego clothes? I should tell hubby we need to buy a big SUV

AshleysMom --- a pound a week sounds like a madness....but how can you NOT?? the last 6 wks baby gains 1/2 lb a week like you said

I am with you all on the cankles.....I hate it - I thought I had ok looking feet before, now I barely fit into my shoes most days!!  I'm up about 31-32 pounds so far at 34w2d.  I see it go up higher and then drop again so I think some is water and some is eating bad one day and better the next.  I already had a double chin and everyone keeps telling me I'm all baby and don't look any different from the back - I hope they are telling the truth and not just being nice!!

I've gained between 38-40 pounds and still have 3 weeks to go. However, I did gain 50 pounds total with my last pregnancy, so I'm happy this time around is less, so far. We do have a couple of birthdays and Mother's Day before this little one arrives, so I anticipate gaining a few more pounds. I'll do my best to keep exercising though and maybe that will help. At least I hope so.

I have to say reading this thread had me in stitches, lol. I feel for all of you as I am experiencing alot of these problems myself and I am only 17 weeks whereas many of you are much further than myself. I am actually off to a bad start. I have gained 23 pounds since my first visit to the OB to confirm my pregnancy. I was a smoker until the baby decided that was yucky (very early in my first tri)............I am hungry.....I have cravings..........whats a pregnant mom to be to do???? My boobs are only getting bigger (ARGH! they aren't even sexy!) buying bras is going to be a pain..........heck I don't even know what size clothes I wear anymore. This is my version of "invasion of the body snatcher" cuz I don't know my own body anymore. I'm about to just go buy a bunch of sweat pants and hack em' off at the knee because maternity clothes aren't any better today than they were 20 years ago. I am not comfortable at all in them.
Anyway, these are the  posts I love to read as they actually make me laugh as apposed to anything negative. I say "KEEP EM' COMIN'"

popeyesgirl....you want to laugh always read a thread meli has wrote in.  I stay cracked up.  Im at the end of my first trimester and she kept me smiling when I was nervous in the begining....it will really make me sad when she has this baby in the coming weeks. LOL
