scheduled c section

I'm due in a few weeks. My parents and in-laws are driving me crazy because they want to know when I'm being scheduled for my c-section. Honestly, they have been asking me for months now. I don't want them at the hospital hanging around asking me what time I'm going into the OR.
Anyone else feeling the pressure of having a scheduled c-section?

I kind of know how you feel. I had my daughter scheduled c-section & before I could really relax, not only were my mom & mil & fil in the room, but also 2 of my sil, the hubs of 1 & their combined total of 4 kids!!!  I looked back @ those pictures & said to my Hubs, "Not happening this time."
I thought it'd be just our 3, my mom, & mil, fil this time but now I learn that my one sil & her 2 kids will not be going back home (they live 1,000 miles away) until the day after Boobah's born. This time, I'm going to tell everyone, not all @ once. It was such a ridiculous circus & I'm sure a little overwhelming to my poor daughter who'd already been thru the trauma of birth.
Here's a suggestion, call them right after you get put in your room & tell them to come meet the baby. It's not like they can assist in the delivery...I'm going to strongly suggest this to my Hubs & remind him of the whole, happy wife, happy life motto. Good luck!!!

I am going in for mine next week.  I don't have much of my own family here but my husband parents are here.  I plan on no one being there till after the baby is born.  You just have to be firm and let them know it's just a huge waiting game and it's better to come.after your settled in with your baby.  Good luck momma!

This is my 2nd so probably a little different. My dr said he'll do it 10days before my due date if I get that far due to complications. So my family are all taking bets on how far I'll get with this one. I was high risk with my first as well and they delivered by csection at 35wks. It drives me a little nuts but it does make light of a pretty uncertain time and I'd probably get all depressed about the complications rather then excited about having another baby. Good luck, I hope it all goes well!
