severe fibroids pain

almost 15 weeks and I don't know what to do with the severe pain after been hospitalized for 2 weeks with strong medications which am still taken I feel completely helpless and useless right this moment. I apparently have 5 fibroidso , one is the size of a big grapefruit and the others are the size of a orange. after severe bleeding and being told that you might have a miscarriage. Asking for prayers that is all I can do and take one at a time, wish me luck ladies, this is my only chance of becoming a mother and being 39 yes doesn't help either. Any ideas on dealing with fibroids.

Thanks

I also had similar pains. I was told to rest a lot and not stress myself.

I have fibroids. I experienced extreme pain and ended up in the emergency room n apparently my fibroid is out growing it's blood supply causing fibroid degeneration. Whenever this happens my ob and mfm put me on 600mg ibuprofen every six hours for 7 days and monitor me and baby very closely. This works better than the morphine the hospital had me on. Talk to your doctor.

I had them flare up with my second pregnancy (I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd due in a week). I too went to the hospital they gave me Celebrex which was the only thing that helped the pain. I can tell you I was terrified I thought I was losing the baby. Eventually the fibroid died off (I have seen it on my current ultrasounds and it's completely calcified) and the pain went away. Besides meds use heat and cold packs, and minimal movement I actually had my Doc write a letter so that I could go on maternity leave early. I still have a few small ones and have had no issues this pregnancy.  Good luck and feel better.
