sex of baby earlier these days?????

i was told at 11/12 wks that im 75% having a girl.  Is this possible so early?????  i knwo they have good machines but i think that is early.. i saw the picture myself and could not believe how well it was and i to didn't see anything sticking up (baby was in perfect position) but does the baby even have their genitals that early on and if so aren't they to small to be seen no matter how good the maching??
thanks

I was 12 weeks also when i was told I was having a girl and I wasn't even showing at all.   Yep, those machines are amazing even 16 years ago.

since they told you that it is a girl, I wouldn't buy anything yet, and ask them to scan you later on, preferably between 20-24w.  Boy parts havent dropped down yet at 11w!!  Most likely they are correct, but I would have them double check later on so you don't end up with a little man in bright pink!!!

I think if the baby is in the right position.....yeah they can tell. And the machines are really detailed at my docs office.  So it wouldnt shock me if they told me early.  My 12 wk appt is next Tues and Im real excited! But congrats on working your way out of the 1st trimester! :-)
