I went to doctor appointment today.... I am 40 weeks and 4 days .. I am not dilated, not engaged and I haven't lost my mucus plug. I am very worried that I will not go into active labour and I will have a c section.. :/

Try taking a warm bath and if you can get into a pool to get some swimming in do it. I went eight days over with my second child so try not to stress.  They will offer to induce you before a c section usually.

Walk around, take a warm bath, snuggle with your partner and relax. Your stress and anxiety about labor may actually be working group against you. 1/2 of labor is in your head. Stress hormones work against labor hormones and can slow the labor process.

My 2nd baby was 15 days late...that's 42wks 1day...when I was 41 weeks, I still hadn't dilated nor had I lost my plug yet. They wanted me to come in on the 14th day to be induced, but my regular Dr was on call the day after. So I set up to go in on the 15th day, and I wound up waking up in active labor. They broke my water and everything when I got there. I did NOT need to have a c-section. Just because they may induce you, does not mean you require a c-section. So don't get nervous yet...good luck :)
