That's not how medicine works. It's literally impossible to create a one size fits all option that works exactly the same with zero side effects for everyone. That is not possible due to every person's different body chemistry, genetics, concurrent medication regimen, and current health status, among many other things. The whole point of having a variety of different treatment options is to give people a chance to try to find something that works for them. I'm sure you haven't given every option a try and are likely jumping to conclusions bard on what you've heard instead of trying yourself. My advice to you is don't buy all the hype and make your own choices based on your own experience instead of making assumptions based on what other people think.
There is no such thing as "fool proof" birth control, besides complete abstinence or total hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy. Even sterilization (tubal ligation and/or vasectomy) doesn't work 100% of the time. It is impossible to have one method that works 100% of the time for 100% of the population.
Basic human physiology shows that people respond to different things in different ways. The Mirena IUD worked just fine for me, but some women have it and get pregnant anyway. The pill works great for some people and gives other people horrific mood swings. The Depo-Provera injection works great for lots of people but causes significant weight gain in others. Barrier methods are great but condoms can break or may be used incorrectly. There's no way to make an effective birth control that has no side effects for anyone. Our bodies are all different.
You should talk to your doctor or midwife about your specific needs and what it is that you're looking for to find the right option for you.
I was on depo for many years never had problems and the good part is you don't get a period there's little side affects nothing big and you go every three months
