I had my third baby after a 10 year age gap, and I'd say it's not like starting over with your body, more like starting over with your lifestyle! After having my 3rd at 37 years old, I must say that pregnancy was the easiest one on my body than the two I had in my twenties! The hardest part has been going back to sleepless nights, weekends at home and feeling lonely since all my friends my age are at work with their kids in school. But I must say my baby joy has been an absolute blessing x
My boys are 19 and 9 and im ten weeks preggers. So I'll have a ten and twenty year gap. Im 35 year old ♥
There is a 13 year gap between my 2nd & 3rd children & it is definitely like starting over! Your body is older & has forgotten what it's like to be pregnant-I read that any gap over 5 years makes this happen.
Thirdtimemum is so correct, though. Your whole life will change. I just watched my oldest graduate a couple months ago while being 20 some weeks pregnant & chasing a 2 1/2 year old!!! Crazy. But worth every second. And babies are a great reminder to their older siblings of why the should use birth control or better yet, abstinence!!! My 16 year old swears he won't be having kids anytime soon. Yay!!!
I feel like I am as well. We don't have any baby stuff at my house so I've been researching cost on crib, and a couple other essentials which I will likely get used. I also keep thinking that my 8 yr old probably won't be at all interested in his younger sibling until he's probably 30! But I'm teaching my son now, that he will need to be a good big bro and help mommy & daddy to take care of baby. So far he's being agreeable..
I'm 39 and have a 20 and 14 yr old boys and having a lil girl in 3 days I'm starting all over to but I can't wait
