12 hours of "early" labor

Woke up this morning at 6:30 to contractions its now 6:47pm. Went strong for about 5 1/2 hours. Contractions were 30 seconds in length but ranged anywhere from 4 min to 12 min. Noticed a little blood when I went to the bathroom. Not sure if that was the bloody show, but it wasn't much & saw it twice. Called the doctor. She said I'm not to go to the hospital until my contractions are 5 min apart for at least an hour.
Been walking & bouncing in birthing ball. Contractions stopped for about 2 hours so I tooK a nap, but contractions have started again as of 4 hours ago. As I'm typing this had one come fast & hard & last 45 seconds.
It's really frustrating because there isn't a rhyme or reason yet & I'm so exhausted. It's been a long hard day so far.

So sorry. I had a very similar experience with my first. Started hard on Wednesday didn't have her until that Friday.  I walked and walked and walked...... to speed things up. If you can't nap get in a nice warm tub. The water helps. Try to rest but if you can't walk walk walk.

Just got back from the ob & still no change in my cervix even after all these intense contractions & walking all over town. These contractions are horrible, but they won't do anything until they see a change. I just want this over but also I just want to sleep! I would never wish this type of labor on my worst enemy!

At 1am this morning, my husband & I got the ok from the on call doctor to go to the hospital since my contractions were 5-6 minutes apart & lasting an average of 57 seconds. On the way to the hospital, (we have an hour drive), my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. We got checked into triage and this where my nightmare began. The 1st nurse tried to check my cervix, but couldn't find it because my baby's head is too low so a 2nd nurse tried & she couldn't find it either. Then the hospital on call doctor was called in & I knew at 1st glance this woman was going to hurt me. She forced her whole hand inside me causing me to scream out in excruciating pain & actually cry....all the while I'm still having intense contractions. It was the worst pain I've felt up to this moment, but she accomplished finding my cervix & I'm only dilated to 2cm & either 80% or 90% effeced. I couldn't exactly listen at theft point. So after suffering through many more intense contractions, they gave me a shot of morphine & sent me home. I'm so frustrated. I've been in the early stage of labor for 25 1/2 hours now & the morphine is wearing off.  :(

If they are that strong I'd go get checked. I've been in labor 2 times and never did my contractions get that close together until I was 6-7 cm. Everyone feels it differently,  I would go by how painful they are. If you can't talk through one, or the make you stop walking and just breathe through they are definitely dilating you. Good luck, won't be long now!

I know & it's really rough. I have a lot of back pain! Things seem like they're slowing down again so I figured I'd try and nap again but when I went to lay down, I experienced the worst pain in my pelvis. So bad that I screamed out. That's the 1st bout of pain that I couldn't breath through. I just wish my water would break already so I can finally go to the hospital. I'm so ready for this to be over!

Until ur contractions are consistent in length and duration, Ur just going to have to wait it out.  Same thing happened to my sister she had a 24 labor, hope urs isn't as long.. goodluck.
