Early labor

My due date is Jan 29th and I'm 37 weeks as of today. I had my first weekly appointment and my doctor checked me, I am almost 3cm dilated & effaced with a softened cervix! I'm so excited to meet my daughter but so nervous at the same time because I don't want her to be born super early. When do you ladies think she will make her arrival? :)

you are 37 wks which makes you full term. I'm 10w5d with my 8th child! Even at 30 wks baby still has a great chance of survival. I've had all 4 of my girls born before 37 wks and they are doing great now! Don't worry. Baby will be here before you know it!

I'm also 37 weeks, but the 30th, and I'm praying everyday that this is the day!  So far nothing.  I go to the dr tomorrow,  so hopefully there will be some news.

I've always heard baby can come 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late. You're in your 37th week so your baby's lungs are fully developed now. If you were to go into labor, you and your baby should be fine. Good luck!

I would suggest putting yourself in bed rest. My friend was in your same boat and with almost complete bed rest was able to keep her baby until w39ish.
Good luck and congrats on your baby girl!

At 37 weeks you are considered full term. Because I am a diabetic my doctor will not let you enter your 38th week and mine were just fine and they were boys. You may know girls lungs mature quicker than boys....don't worry. ..she will come when she is ready.
