I use to smoke from 18 to 24 now I'm 26 n I just completely quite without telling anyone it wasn't to hard but I got the e cigs the disposable one first only 7 dollars. It's was really the smoke for me more than the nicotine but everyone different well I wish u luck but I know youll do it for ya babies sake..
If it's that hard try those it'll ween u off
Not enough studies have been done with ecigs I went cold turkey after 11 years myself but that was my plan to quit cold turkey forever once i found out i was pregnant...im 5 months pregnant and my plan has worked...it wasn't so easy especially when I was mad or real stressed u juat pictured blowing smoke in a newborns face that always disgusts me plus the fact if I gave in and have one then id consider myself weak and im not ok with thateither so stay strong baby is number one now not u anymore
I just pictured sry typos
I had to find another outlet. I knew as soon as I was pregnant I wasn't going to have another cigarette until he/she is born. I kept telling myself that it's my choice to smoke and poison my body but I can't make that choice for my baby. I wouldn't smoke in the car with a newborn so I can't while pregnant. I had to take up walking (which is good anyway!) As my stress release. Amazing what a quiet hour long stroll in the evening will do for you. You can do it! You're doing a good job just cutting back makes a huge difference
Try cutting a straw to the perfect cig length and "puff" on it if the urge hits pregnancy hormones are making it worse. You are making the right choice by quitting! Look up pictures, and videos about what smoking does to the body, and to your little baby. Maybe that can scare you straight! Good luck, your doing the right thing.

Definitely get some doctor advice and help on this one
Ya reach out to your Dr. I'm so proud that you are trying to quit!! That's fantastic! I'd say distract yourself and get a brand new routine. Don't let your brain get into old patterns. So maybe instead of waking up and making breakfast. ...you wake up, go for a walk. Establish new habits and remove ALL temptations and people who don't support you 100%. Good luck!
I was a heavy smoke before getting pregnant and I quit when I was 4 weeks and havnt touched one since they started to get me really sick now the smell thought or being near someone who smokes grosses me out makes Me super nauseous . Same happened to a few of my friends. I'm so greatful I quit I promise you it will change your life and you will feel good knowing your baby is not being harmed
Thank you all and thank you for not judging me. Makes me feel better to know I have your support. Calling my doc in the AM. Much love to you all! :)
My last pregnancy (#3) I smoked up until 37 wks. I Had cut down to 3 a day for awhile. Then 1 a day then a few hits here n there if my husband was smoking. I been able to not pick the habit back up. I Also prayed alot when I hear a urge. You can do it! I wad able to stop my first 2 but always picked it back up. Glad I didn't this time. I'm happy I didn't have to fight that addiction this pregnancy. I'm scared to get addicted again, cause it was so hard to quit!
I have not taken 1 hit from a cig for going on 16 months! (Working on hubby. He don't smoke around us all though. But stilll he smells like a cig sometimes. :/ )
Yeah that makes it a little harder fore too when my honey smokes. I'll do an ecig until I can see my doc. Still not great but it'll have to do til then.
then smoke few cigarettes per say cos this is worse for a baby than someking one or two cigarettes! you will do it! I did it and honestly I didn't even think I was capable of quitting before the pregnancy. I was sure I would continue to smoke cos it was impossible even to imagine stopping...but it's crazy what we are capable of when it comes to our babies. ;)
