There are more benefits if.you.just do delayed cord clamping. That is what we are doing. I am not going to spend all of that money on the off chance my son needs it down the road.
I agree it is a good idea just expensive if all they do is freeze it why can I not keep it frozen...I wonder if that's all they do? I may see what the process is of it
Yeah I think if my fathers nice enough he may do it, but honestly there's no way I can afford it myself. It would be nice but i'll probably donate it. And hopefully I just have a healthy happy baby & we don't ever need it.
I'm banking mine. I was planning on doing it anyway but my baby's grandfather (who can easily afford it) is paying the deposit as a baby gift and then I'm paying the monthly storage fees.
Im banking both my babies cells amd tissue. It'll cost us 5200to fot collection and 19 years of storage. It seems like alot but if ur child gets sick thats a month of just prescriptions. Plus it could be the diffrence betwern life and death. They can currently cure over 2000a diseases, and these diseases arent tjat rare. In the next few years the amount of disease they will be able to cure will go thru the roof.
If u have any family history of cancer or autoimmune diseases i think its a no brainer.
You can pay monthly low rates or one lump sum. When i think about the cost verses the cost if my vhild gets sick, its really cheap.
i have an autoimmune disease, and my medicines woth insurance is $600 a month. If u spread the cost over 10a years its not tjat much.
It depends on ur situation but if u can swing it i would do it.
They r saving my cells in 9 viles so theres a chance if my husband or i could u them. His father died of cancer young and his mother had breast cancer. If he's a match it could save his life and alot of money in tje future
It is an insurance policy of a type, but thats why we buy health insurance, life insurances and house, car imsurances. It mighy br better to have them then not.
I looked into it, too, definitely too expensive for us, but if you can afford it, it's great!
The thing is, is that if your baby has a disease from birth they can't use the cord blood for them anyways.
Yeah I read it was over $3000 uh no that's ok...may donate though if it doesnt cost...hmmm decisions decisions.
It's too expensive. Maybe when the technology to store it gets cheaper.
Oh hell no!!! Lol thats diaper money!!
The place my husband looked at wanted almost three grand , with a 250 off coupon & then almost three hundred a month. It'd be nice but I really don't think I could pay all that.
I don't remember an exact amount, but there was a large registration fee and a monthly fee of like $200.
Ive gotten papers in the mail about it...youd think itd be free..but how much does it cost?
I wanted to but yeah it's to expensive. And so I figured I would donate it, but I'm 17 and I guess you have to be 18 :/
it would be worth it but its very expensive.
same with us we were going to but the cost adds up fast and its alot of money if you don't ever use it
It's like buying a cancer insurance policy. You pay a lot for it, and you may or may not use it. It's nice to have if you needed it. It's too expensive for us. We were going to on our first son until I saw how much the monthly storage fee was.
