My daughter is 9 and we are due feb 8 with our son. She is happy but jealouse at the same time! We have told her she is gonna be mommas biggest helper ever! Also to help her go through this transition we let her help pick out clothes and fhrniture and everything to do with the baby! We also let her play with some of the stuff so she won't feel so left out!

Just involve her in everything I was 8 when my brother was born and I helped with everything I loved being older sis. My daughter is 3 and she is already jealous of her daddy showing my baby bump attention. I am also due in Jan.

When i told her we were having a baby... she was not excited at all.. she didn't care! She acts much older than she is and so i knew she understood. But lately she has been saying things about the baby like... my little brother can have this toy when he gets here.. so maybe she will be fine.
