you can go up to 42 weeks in the UK without being induced, I had to be induced last year due to medical reasons, and if everything's ok this time I will chose not to be induced. honestly, it's always better to go naturally. it took 3 long days to induce me, three methods of induction, 76 cervical sweeps.. and a very rapid, painful labour after which my baby was ill as were I. She spent a week in special care baby unit until she got better and I honestly believe we both got ill because she wasn't ready to come yet, and because it was just so fast and overwhelming. the contractions didn't start as strong cramps that gradually got closer together. My contractions from 4cm, were as bad as the ones at 9cm, and they were at times 20 secs apart. I couldn't even have time to speak! my labour was about 12 hours.. I know everyones experiences are different but I've given mine but you do have the option to wait a bit more before you decide. xxxx
I was induced and after 19 hours of labor I had to have a c section personally I am not doing it again but there are a lot of people who have good luck with it don't let no one scare u go with what u think is best cause everyone is different.
I'm 40 weeks saturday. & not dialated either. I don't want to get induced yet tho, but I heard getting induced can slow down your labor and could be more painful rather than natural labor. on the other hand others have had good experiences with it
