Go to the nearest health department, they will give you a 40-60 day pregnancy insurance coverage free of cost, during that time u will need to apply for another insurance .. u need to call and check on Medicade... it's free and if ur pregnant u get it asap...
Thats why i liked staywell so much because they cover everything if you're not prego amd just in case you get prego they cover everything as well :)
They covered everything except they wouldnt pay for an ultrasound until i was 16 weeks . And they wouldnt pay for my prenatals at first but they sent me a letter in the mail explaining that they dont like those ones and thats why they wouldnt pay for them . And i have the same plan i had before so im not sure i think it varies by plan . Staywell covers things for pregnant women thats just their plan but once you inform them you a pregnant they may add some things that they cover cuz on my plan i got in the mail everything is the same except they now also pay for the circumsision if im having a boy which i am :)
That's good! & since they didn't cut you so soon did your medicaid cover everything you needed to see a doctor for your pregnancy? Or when you're pregnant do you have to apply for a separate kind of medicaid?
Best part is for the little bit of time being uncovered if i would have gone to the hospital i would not have to pay the bill sent in the mail because as soon as medicaid approves you they pay everything that wasnt paid for during that tine because you're pregnant . :)
They didnt cut my medicaid immediately . I turned 18 in January they cut my medicaid July 1st . As soon as they cut it i reapplied online and of course said i was pregnant . A week later i got a call saying i was approved and covered by plain medicaid but will be getting plans sent via mail . Another week later i got the plans to choose from and luckily staywell (my plan before i was prego) was an option so i called and chose my plan and it takes affect august 1st but for now im covered by normal medicaid for dr visits and er visits and such.
Same thing happened to me, but the state of idaho covered me again immediately becaus . I was pregnant, look into it before you go to the doctors.
