Low HCG levels

Question

The 1st day of my last cycle was May 13th... I was using an ovulation kit for the month and it finally said yes on May 30th. I missed my period on June 15th and had a positive pregnancy test Fathers day June 17th. I had a miscarriage prior to this and Im pretty nervous. I had a bit of bleeding the Tuesday following the positive preg. test so the Dr. ordered HCG testing. First one was at 194, the second one two days later was only 216. For five weeks, this is low AND it only went up 10% rather then a minimum of 50%..... Im curious if this has happend to anyone else and everything turned out ok. My doctor says Im probably just not as far along as I think I am.. but I ovulated May 30th (give or take a day), so I have to be at a minimum of 5 weeks.

My next test, which was done four days later was only 333.  I go in tomorrow for an U/S.  Im not optimistic

You might not be as far along as you think you are. Ovulation tests aren't 100% accurate, and even after getting a positive test you don't actually ovulation till 12-24 hours later, maybe even longer. Also, implantation can take place anywhere from 6-12 days, sometimes longer too. Obviously if numbers aren't rising that isn't the best sign, but I wouldn't jump the gun and say miscarriage first. There's still hope. A repeat blood test in a couple of days will tell you. Good Luck.

yeah....doesn't sound that good, to tell you the truth...if you had a positive pregnancy test, it won't show until you are at least 11-12 days post ovulation. when did doctor had you do HCG? it suppose to double each other day, so I am not sure what to tell you....
in my case, my HCG was very very high and I still ended up in m/c.... :(

the hope is still there for later because after that I had 2 beautiful babies!
