Missed Period???

I have been on Alesse for 4 years and have taken all pills faithfully.  Periods have always been regular right down to the hour when I was to start.  Last month my period came late...started about a week late and then I missed a pill... doubled up the next day.  Just realized that I missed another pill and took it right away so took two pills today and will take one tomorrow as usual.  Well, my period is already 10 days late.  I took 2 hpt...one seven days late and came back negactive.  Another nine days late, first urine of the am and came back negative.  I'm totally perplexed.  I have had unprotected sex in this time frame...twice with my bf.  Committed and don't used another form of protection.  Not stressed anymore than usual but am now completely stressed.  My question is...what are the chances of becoming pregnant when I've been on Alesse for 4 years straight with two missed pills?  Why is my period late?  Also, I had a biopsy two months ago...low grade squamus cells.  They removed a pollup and did a biopsy with results to come any day now to see if a leep is needed.  But hasn't really been bothering me.  I've had one normal period since (last month).  What could be going on with me?  Some bleeding on two different days...bright red and only when I wipe but I've had lower abdominal pain like cramps so I was sure my period would start but nothing yet.  Now 10 days late...any professional opinion would help.  Just wondering what the chances are...don't want to hear about goign to the doctor to get a blood test...would rather wait the thing out.  Planning on doing another htp...ugh.  No other pregnancy signs at all...breasts are normal...not nauseaus or peeing anymore than usual.  Is it too early to tell if I'm pregnant?

Got the results from my blood test...tested for hCG in the blood.  Came back negative so looks like I'm not pregnant.  Still haven't started my period but can now start to relax so my body can get back on schedule.  Also, got results back from my biopsy...negative as well so all is well with me.  I'd really like to advise people that in most instances, a negative result on a hpt is indeed that...negative.  It's when you start reading message boards from people who are the exception that you drive yourself crazy.  I took 4 hpts and all were negative, the last one taken at 10 days after my pissed period.  But I still went for a blood test cause I was so paranoid.  These tests are out there for a reason...if they weren't working properly then they wouldn't be there.  Good luck to all!

Try not to worry its very VERY rare to get a false result on a pregnancy test and even then its usually a false positive because the test was read outside of the time limit. Try to relax until tomorrow at least then you'll know for sure. Best of luck!

Broke down today and had a blood test done...won't know the results until tomorrow.
My doctor seems pretty confident that it will be negative with 2 negative hpt 10 days after a missed period but I'm still worried.  I've been reading all about false negatives on this site and it really has me worried.  I don't want to be pregnant.

When you mess up on the pill even once it can cause your cycle to become a little messed up also stress can cause you to be late on your period as well. At 10 days after your missed period a test should be able to detect whether or not you are pregnant since they can tell a couple days before your missed period. At this point I would say you probably aren't and just need to wait it out... if your going to keep wasting money on tests then I would suggest just getting a blood test (even though you dont want anyone to tell you that) because that is the only way you'll be able to tell for sure. Hope this helps some.
